If you have doubts about delivery times to the UK then DON'T!!!  Just 2 weeks before Christmas, I contacted Georganne on a Friday evening to discuss the possibilities of placing and receiving an order before Christmas.  After being assured that my order would be sent the following day (yes, even on a Saturday!!!) an order was subsequently placed late that evening.  Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. my order had arrived!!!  An absolutely amazing service from an extremely friendly and helpful Georganne.  I would highly recommend this site to anyone, not only for their yarns but excellent customer service.

“I placed an order for several different colours of Lion Brand Homespun recently - the order was placed in the evening of Thursday the 4th of November. The order arrived on the following Wednesday, the 10th, in the morning. To my mind this is exceptionally good service. Sometimes when I buy things on line in the UK they don't arrive as quickly as that! Also, as mentioned on the website, although the cost of the postage was more than £10, I was not charged the extra, which I think is a very good bonus for people who knit a lot and order quite a lot of yarn at once. “I first saw some wool that I liked on the Lion Brand site and contacted Lion to ask if there were any retailers within the UK.  I was told that my nearest retailer was Banyan Tree Yarns based in Malta.  I emailed them to order the wool.  They contacted me to say the wool would be coming into stock in the near future and that they would keep the amount I wanted to one side.  I was told when the wool had been despatched (it arrived promptly - or as promptly as our Post Office allows! - and was well packed).  Because I sent a cheque in payment I was rather worried about my bank refusing to clear it as it was made out in euros not UK pounds.  I was told when the cheque was cleared which eased my mind.
My one quibble (which I am sure will be sorted in the near future) is that there is no facility to pay with a credit card which would have been helpful.

All in all, I would recommend Banyan Tree Yarns and their service most highly.”
